Thank you to Bob Troia aka "Quantified Bob" for checking out our COR One tracker for inflammation. The result he posted below (4mm/hr) is in the optimal range, but I look forward to his testing as he tried lifestyle strategies to lower that even further. Low ESR is strongly correlated with longevity!

I've been experimenting with a new device called the COR One from COR Health that lets you measure and track chronic inflammation levels any time, at home or away. Using just a drop of blood, the COR One measures something called Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR): • ESR reflects more inflammatory pathways than hs-CRP or any other inflammatory marker • ESR is very sensitive at very low inflammation levels. So, it is ideal for chronic inflammation (“silent inflammation”) Results are ready in 30 minutes and appear on their web-based dashboard, and you can also see if your result is “older” or “younger” for your age. Fortunately, my initial results came up in the “optimal” range, even when compared to the Norwegian data set (who have some of the lowest inflammation levels probably due to high fatty-fish consumption and resulting Omega 3 levels) 💪 Learn more at https://corhealth.com (save 10% w/ code quantifiedbob ) #inflammation #bloodtest #bloodtesting #biologicalage #longevity #biohacking #digitalhealth

As the COR Health at-home inflammation device user base steadily grows, I wanted to share some insights and use cases with you. If you have been wondering when is the right time to start measuring inflammation from home, this is it. It’s never before been this simple to get the frequent data needed to solve your inflammation.  The interventions are often simple lifestyle changes, but you need to know what works for you – and that’s only possible through data. The COR One device has been in the hands of users for a few months and has already started making a significant impact. Our early data reveals some compelling insights: • Encouraging trends among repeat testers: Among users who tested multiple times, 32.4% managed to lower their ESR levels, showcasing the potential of COR One to help manage and improve health. • 78.5% of data points within normal range: Most users have ESR levels within the standard normal range, indicating a healthy baseline. • But only 27.46% are in the optimal range: There's room for improvement as only a small percentage of users have optimal ESR levels. COR One empowers users with actionable health data, making inflammation monitoring accessible and easy. Regular tracking helps you maintain or achieve optimal health. There should be a link to our website above 🖕 so please check it out!

Over my career I have authored many patents, I think the count is over 65 now (which probably means I am old 😉. My inventions have tended to be ridiculously simple things - you can make of that what you will. I literally can’t count the number of times I’ve heard people say “that’s so simple I can’t believe no one ever thought of that.” I used to get exasperated hearing it but now I can look objectively and say “well the patent office disagrees.” But speaking of simple things: Lately, at COR, I’ve been making the case that the ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) test is a simple, trackable measurement that is strongly (anti)correlated with longevity. But perhaps the idea is too simple?! Is a multi-omics biological age clock better? Probably yes. Can you measure that frequently and episodically in the comfort of your own home? No. No you can’t. I can explain my love of the ESR as perhaps the Ultimate Marker for Longevity in 6 bullet points. Give me a thumbs up if this makes sense to you! And please also check out COR by going here: corhealth.com

I've been tracking inflammation using my own product, the COR One In-home ESR test. ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) is an established biomarker that reflects more inflammatory pathways than any other, and it is convenient to measure. About a month ago my ESR level was 27, which is above the reference normal range. After 4 weeks of purely lifestyle interventions it is now 13, well within normal. I want to get it lower of course. I did a bunch of interventions at the same time so it is not possible to tease out which had the strongest effect. I added tart cherry juice nightly, which has known anti-inflammatory effects and also acts as a sleep aid. Proper sleep is also anti-inflammatory, so there is a bit of a flywheel effect here. Also made a point to eat more salmon. I will continue to check in!
