About us
New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) was founded in 1852, and today serves 905,005 electricity customers and 271,547 natural gas customers across more than 40% of upstate New York. At NYSEG, we've always been dedicated to the communities we serve, and strive daily to provide safe, reliable service to customers. That's why we provide more than electricity. We spearhead conservation efforts, encourage economic growth, assist area businesses and fund important charity organizations through established and often one-of-a-kind programs.

We celebrated the ribbon cutting for Ag-Grid Energy’s anaerobic digester at Lent Hill Dairy Farm in Cohocton, NY. This equipment produces electricity and renewable natural gas from cow manure and food waste from local food producers, making Lent Hill Farm a carbon negative dairy and energy producer. The electricity produced by Lent Hill Ag-Grid is being used by Chobani and Windsor Acres via our grid! To learn more visit: https://lnkd.in/e3YAxzpY
