💗 Thank you to the Sharing Hope Foundation for donating activity bags to antepartum mothers at our hospital. Fifteen years ago, Lisa Barlow was on bedrest until her twins could be delivered. She created the Sharing Hope Foundation bags to let moms know they are not alone and someone cares when going through something like she experienced. They donate over 500 bags annually to antepartum mothers! Here's information about how we treat high-risk pregnancy: https://bit.ly/46biaFC

The 'Gold Shoe' Certificate of Honor Award is presented to ORMC colleagues for giving of exceptional service, living our mission and exhibiting our values. Tyler Sprague and Keri Thredgold with our Operating Room have received 'Gold Shoe' awards. From their nomination: "We had an employee who lives in Farmington and his car broke down in Salt Lake, which left him stranded - no way to get his broken car to the shop, and no family to help. Tyler offered to drive to Farmington, pick him up, and take him to SLC to a mechanic. Keri then offered to help with rides to work until his car was repaired. The OR crew takes care of each other as well as they take care of their patients!" Keri and Tyler, 4th and 3rd form right, with ORMC leadership in the photo. 'Bee Award' for Brittny Miller, Clinical Research Coordinator for the Cancer Treatment Center! The honey bee is known for it's dedication to laboring for others. Like the bee, we have nursing partners who dedicate themselves to providing exceptional care and creating a safe, comfortable environment for others. The Bee Award is in recognition for upholding those values. From her nomination: "She has worked hard to drive our research program by working with the pathologists, radiologists, surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists. Her and her team have developed processes to make it easier for the physicians to order testing. She has taken the time to educate both the physicians and their staff on the importance of clinical research in cancer and helped to make the processes more efficient for everyone. Clinical research is an integral part of cancer treatment both for the individual and future cancer patients. The current studies that Brittny has aligned ORMC with help to better target the different types of tumors and the best treatment course for the patient possibly forgoing more challenging treatments. The patients that are enrolled are tracked for 10 years including reoccurrences and outcomes. This only betters future patient care by helping understand long term outcomes for each type of tumor. Brittny has worked tirelessly to grow our clinical research program by working to add others studies to our program and expand the care that our cancer treatment patients receive." Scott Schwaegler was selected as the 2023 MountainStar/HCA Awards of Distinction Volunteer of the Year. Scott has volunteered with our hospital for more than 11 years. He has given so much to us - working in mail delivery and in the pharmacy. He is very admired for his hard work and knowledge that he shares freely with anyone who needs help. As a veteran of the US Air Force, Scott has taken it upon himself to make sure our flag is always flying, in good condition, and at proper staff. We interviewed Scott 8 YEARS AGO in the video ... and he's still going strong! https://bit.ly/3Y0Lm00
