This research underscores the importance of structured care programs for cancer survivors, aiming to enhance their quality of life and long-term health outcomes. The study highlights: - Improved patient outcomes with standardized care - The need for comprehensive follow-up plans - Strategies for integrating survivorship care into clinical practice and multidisciplinary collaboration Read more about this significant advancement in cancer care: Markey physician co-authors study on value of cancer survivorship care standards: https://lnkd.in/dcuTyf4d and the full study here - JAMA Network Open: https://lnkd.in/e7ZXKevr #SurvivorshipCare #MultidisciplinaryCancerCare #HealthcareInnovation #MedicalResearch
Dr. Timothy Mullett explores research on cancer survivors. With the number of adult cancer survivors in the U.S. expected to reach 23 million by 2032, the long-term needs of this population are growing, yet often poorly understood and addressed. https://lnkd.in/dcuTyf4d

We celebrate Clinical Trials Day on May 20, in recognition of what is often considered the start of the first randomized clinical trial. In 1747, James Lind began a clinical trial on this day to study the effects of different remedies for scurvy among sailors at sea. Times have changed and today the OncoLens team can take unstructured data from the EMR and conduct feasibility studies identify patterns and match patients to the right trials. !!! Now that is progress. #cancer #oncology #trials #EMR
