Since its launch in 2019, the Boond Project has improved the lives of more than 209,000 people Gaya and Madhubani, India. 💧 Here's how we did it: 🚰 Increased access to safe, sustainable, and gender-sensitive water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in schools, health centers and public places 💧 Improved water quality through monitoring and lab support 🤝 Community-led water initiatives made possible through training and capacity building 🏥 COVID-19 response including repairs, installations, and hygiene kit distribution Together with METRO AG WaterAid, WaterAid India and the Government of India, we are working towards a healthier, more equitable future for all. 🌎 #BoondProject #WASH #CommunityDevelopment #India #OneDrop

Depuis son lancement en 2019, le projet Boond a amélioré la vie de plus de 209 000 personnes à Gaya et Madhubani, en Inde. 💧 Voici comment nous y sommes parvenus : 🚰 Augmentation de l'accès à des installations d'eau, d'assainissement et d'hygiène sûres, durables et sensibles au genre dans les écoles, les centres de santé et les lieux publics. 💧 Amélioration de la qualité de l'eau grâce à la surveillance et au soutien de laboratoires. 🤝 Initiatives communautaires en matière d'eau rendues possibles grâce à des formations et au renforcement des capacités 🏥 Réponse à la COVID-19, incluant des réparations, des installations et la distribution de kits d'hygiène En collaboration avec @METRO_AG, WaterAid et le gouvernement indien, nous œuvrons pour un avenir plus sain et plus équitable pour tous. 🌎

Farmers in India are reporting crop losses due to droughts and erratic and extreme rainfall induced partly by climate change. But we can help.💪 We're currently supporting the training of dozens of Pani Mitra (Water Champions) who work to facilitate the use of water-efficient farming practices in the Rajasthan region. 🌱 A total of 235 Pani Mitra from 78 villages are now acting as valuable allies in stimulating demand for micro-irrigation units within their communities.   So far, 2,197 micro-irrigation units have been ordered, with 828 installations already completed, helping farmers save water.💧 Want to help?
