CareerQUEER is a 6 week course for 16-24 year olds that focuses on job readiness skills and financial literacy! Join us on Mondays starting August 12th from 4pm-6pm at the Downtown Phoenix Youth Center, for some friends, fun, and future preparation! Dancing for one·n·ten (D4ONT) returns for its 15th season: Legends, Divas & Superstars! Join one·n·ten for our July 19 community training: Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth. 55 years ago, the Stonewall Uprising began in New York City. Police raids and harassment were common but on June 28 members of the LGBTQ+ community fought back. The Stonewall Uprising sparked protests across the country about how the police treated the LGBTQ+ community and marked a turning point in the gay rights movement in the United States. We give special honor to the Stonewall veterans as we continue their work of creating safe, inclusive spaces for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community.

Today is Juneteenth which commemorates the day enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free after the Union Army enforced the Emancipation Proclamation. The historical legacy of Juneteenth includes the importance of never giving up hope, especially in uncertain times.
