Today, County Executive McMahon joined Senator Chuck Schumer and other local leaders from Buffalo and Rochester to celebrate that the "NY-SMART I-90 Corridor Tech Hub" was selected as one of the first winners of the highly competitive Tech Hubs program, bringing tens of millions in federal funding to further position Upstate, New York as a semiconductor center for the world. County Executive McMahon said, "To meet the growing labor demand of the companies here today, and those that will soon to call our community home, we will need partners at all levels of government to come together. Today, thanks to the relentless advocacy of Senator Schumer, the New York Smart I-Corridor Tech Hub will have access to tens of millions of dollars to ramp up our workforce efforts for the jobs of today and tomorrow."
