Before taking on your B2B eCommerce project, get these 3 things right: ▪️ Create a map of your current sales processes – this will help with detailing the scope of your eCommerce project later on. ▪️ Organize and standardize your data (product categories, descriptions, media, etc.) – this one is super important as it can make or break (when ignored) your digital transformation initiative. ▪️ Invest the time to work out your pricing approach and customer groups – you’ll need to determine what prices to show in different scenarios (e.g. when dealing with known and unknown customers) and how prices will be negotiated, adjusted, and updated. Too often, we see teams working backward. They start a technology project without the cleansed data, mapped out processes, and well-defined pricing models – and it eventually snowballs into longer implementations at best.
