Pacific Clinics' Asian Pacific Family Center's Mental Health Therapist, Kevin Ngyuen, was mentioned in a Los Angeles Times article, "A Guide to Mental Health in Vietnamese." The piece goes on to discuss the history of the stigma of mental health conversations between elders and youth, but also the language barrier and not having formal words to fit the feelings. Last week, I had the opportunity to visit our San Jose Gish office and meet Diana Traub,LCSW, along with the WRAP team at Pacific Clinics! During my visit, I explored our HOPE Center, a fantastic space where youth in the Bay Area can engage in various activities. From working on their art and writing to receiving coaching on their resumes, showering, doing laundry, working out, and even recording their own music - the center offers a plethora of opportunities for personal growth and development. A big thank you to Diana for allowing me to join the WRAP team bonding event and for the chance to meet the recent hires in person. It was truly an enriching experience!
