Partners for Home is dedicated to enhancing the coordination, communication, operation, and administration of homeless assistance projects to better serve our youth. The recent Fulton County Community Development grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as part of the Youth Homelessness System Improvement initiative will allow us to work together to strengthen prevention and diversion strategies to support at-risk youth effectively. Focus Areas: Planning and Partnerships: Build stronger connections and improve coordination within systems that serve at-risk youth, including education, child welfare, and juvenile justice. HMIS Upgrade: Enhance the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for better data collection and reporting. Youth-Specific Entry Points: Develop youth-specific coordinated entry points and procedures, including mobile coordinated entry services. Collaboration: This grant is designed to foster connections, coordination, and information sharing within and between systems that serve at-risk youth. The grant will create and build capacity for Youth Action Boards. Key grant partners include the Fulton County Continuum of Care, Partners for Home (Atlanta Continuum of Care), Pathways Community Network Institute, and the Morehouse School of Medicine Prevention Research Center. By improving communication and partnerships, we aim to create a more efficient and supportive network for our youth. https://lnkd.in/gBY3maU6 #PartnersForHome #YouthSupport #HomelessAssistance #CommunityImpact #YouthServices #PreventionAndDiversion #HMIS #YouthEmpowerment #StrongerTogether

Interested in Learning about the HUD Continuum of Care Notice of Funding (NOFO)? Have you heard about the HUD CoC NOFO but aren't quite sure what it is? Do you think you might want to apply but aren't sure if it would be applicable for your agency? Have you reviewed the HUD webpage but still aren't sure? If so, then feel free to join this brief 20–30-minute webinar where we will present a very general overview of the HUD NOFO program. This will be a short session and is not meant for agencies who are already familiar with the process and are interested in applying for new funding. That will come later, once the new funding process is confirmed. https://lnkd.in/eF6D4vVQ

Community Solutions, Inc. recently highlighted the collaborative efforts in Atlanta to support our neighbors experiencing homelessness. The recent SCOTUS ruling reminds us to stay focused on the power of finding housing with wrap-around services for our neighbors experiencing homelessness versus criminalizing them. Our partnership with the Atlanta Police Department and other community organizations exemplifies how diverting individuals from the criminal justice system to housing solutions can make a significant difference. A prime example is the PAD initiative, an Atlanta Continuum of Care partner. When law enforcement encounters someone with probable cause for low-level violations (like loitering, shoplifting, or trespassing), they call PAD instead of making an arrest. PAD's street outreach workers step in, addressing immediate needs such as clothing and meals. They assist the individual with an intake assessment for a local housing provider and ensure they have a safe place to stay. These community-focused initiatives highlight the power of collaboration. Together, we can achieve so much more. Let's continue to support and uplift our neighbors in need! #CommunitySolutions #EndHomelessness #SupportiveHousing #PADInitiative #AtlantaCollaborative #HousingNotHandcuffs #PartnersForHome
🌟 Atlanta's Innovative Approach to Homelessness 🌟 What if, instead of criminalizing homelessness, we provided real solutions? 🤔🏠 In the Built for Zero community of Atlanta, a transformative initiative is doing just that. By diverting people experiencing homelessness from the criminal justice system to housing solutions, the city is making a profound impact. “Atlanta police have really continued to impress me. They will say that homelessness is not a crime and that we can’t arrest our way [out of] this situation.” — Cathryn Vassel, CEO of Partners for HOME #HomelessnessIsSolvable 🔗 Read the full story! https://bit.ly/4cJwY0W
