Driven by the Atlanta Continuum of Care, led by Partners for Home, our reach goes beyond a housing-first approach. Through The Melody Project, we’ve set up low-cost micro-unit communities to ensure our neighbors stay a part of their neighborhoods. We're proud to have Tanisha Wright, WNBA Champion & Head Coach, standing with us in this effort. Her support highlights the teamwork it takes across our city to end homelessness, proving that together, we can create lasting change for our communities. On July 31, 2024, HUD released the FY2024 and FY2025 CoC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). This is a competitive process awarding over $3.5 billion nationwide to provide supportive services and housing for people experiencing homelessness. It is expected that the Atlanta CoC will be eligible to compete for about $12.5 million. https://lnkd.in/ebUZ4nse Partners for HOME, as the Collaborative Applicant for the Atlanta CoC, is soliciting applications from agencies interested in applying for new projects. While not mandatory, agencies interested in applying for a new project are strongly encouraged to attend an information session, which will review the types of projects accepted, the application process, the application, and the scoring criteria. (Additionally, there will be a bonus added to the score of all new project applicants who attended an information session.) There will be two webinars, which are duplicative, so if you attended last week you don't need to attend, but registration is required to attend. A community can only end homelessness by housing every person who is homeless, including those with substance use and mental health issues. Housing First is a proven approach for housing chronic and vulnerable homeless people. To get a baseline idea of how well the Atlanta CoC is adhering to the Housing First approach, Partners for HOME is using a quick assessment tool, developed by the 100,000 Homes Campaign with the Center for Urban and Community Services. This is a self-assessment tool that PFH is asking agencies to complete for each of their programs and services. The assessment should take under ten minutes to complete. Please help us better understand how well our community is embracing Housing First and take a few minutes to complete this survey!  This assessment will remain open until August 27 Once the results are tabulated, deidentified general information will be shared with the CoC.   https://lnkd.in/gjKBvTiY
