What an amazing evening exercising my super connector powers in person! It was wonderful to reconnect with my colleague Sarah Radford (holding the book in the blue dress) after meeting at a networking event about 10 years ago when she was living in New York. I had previously introduced Sarah to Pete Schramm, (the absurdly tall guy in the beige sportjacket). Sarah has since returned to her hometown of Cleveland, while Pete lives in the Pittsburgh area. As Sarah's company was hosting an event in New York, she asked me to round up a group of the top HR executives I know in the area. I'm proud to say that more than half the people at this event were invited as a direct result of my recommendation! I've had numerous Zoom calls with most of these people, but it was my first time meeting them in person. Since they had only seen my face on the screen, a number of them remarked that they didn't realize how jacked I am in real life. Well I am, so now you know. Hats off to an amazing evening.
