About us

The Zeta Sigma Chapter at the University of South Carolina seeks to promote higher business education and training, with a particular emphasis upon the soft skills that are commonly overlooked in today's workforce. Our core components are professional development, leadership experience, networking opportunities, community service, and academic excellence. The Zeta Sigma chapter emphasizes that our brothers and sisters are not only students in the Darla Moore School of Business, but rather students at the University of South Carolina. We continuously work hard to gain connections and network beyond the reach of our brothers and sisters to include networking with various organizations on campus to partner for social, professional, and philanthropic events.

  • 🎉 We’d like to highlight and celebrate our brother Nolan Farabaugh for his outstanding internship with PwC in Charlotte, NC. Nolan collaborates closely with clients, his Data Analytics & Technology (DAT) team, and PwC’s external audit teams to understand the systems and technologies our clients use, focusing on mitigating risk. 🔍💼 He also plays a crucial role in analyzing business controls and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of their outputs. His dedication and hard work are truly inspiring! 🌟👏

As I head into week 6 of my internship with Chubb, I feel so grateful for all of the experiences I've had so far and the people I have connected with along the way. Today, the Underwriting Interns in the New York City office had the opportunity to learn about Risk Engineering Services. My teammates, Tanner Burns, Elisabeth Kirk, Denis Jafarov, Nicholas Martin, and I visited Bryant Park and the New York Public Library to learn more about how Risk Engineers analyze the hazards associated with buildings and public spaces. In turn, this helps underwriters better understand how to assess risk and tailor an insurance policy for a client. We finished up our trip with a lunch at John's Pizzeria! Thank you to Sheila Coppinger for her expertise in the field and to Margaret Noble Kenny for organizing this trip for us! #LifeAtChubb Christine Schleuss, Erika Potts -Days

This was a great opportunity to meet our fellow interns with other sister brands like L’OCCITANE Group , GROWN ALCHEMIST and Erborian . Very grateful for the chance to share idea's and build relationships with so many great people.

University of South Carolina Honors College | Darla Moore School of Business | RIL | Aspiring Consultant | Dynamic Leader | Results-Driven

I am excited to announce that I have finished my first semester abroad at ESSEC Business School in Cergy, France. This semester has been filled with rigorous courses, inspiring projects, and invaluable lessons. I have embarked on three courses that have had a profound effect. The first was E-Business, where I developed a professional report on Virtual Reality and its transformative potential in mental healthcare. In my Responsible Marketing course, my team and I collaborated with Adidas France on a consulting project focused on extending the lifecycle of their shoes. Our innovative solution consisted of utilizing mycelium in sneakers for a sustainable approach. Lastly, in my Entrepreneurship course, my team and I took on a semester-long project to create a revolutionary company for allergy detection. The result was a successful presentation in front of a panel of investors, showcasing our innovative business model and vision. Following my first semester, I had a valuable opportunity to volunteer at La Table de Cana Marseille for a month. La Table De Cana is a philanthropic organization that employs underprivileged individuals to prepare and distribute nutritious meals to school children, first responders, and homeless people. I had the privilege to assist in the kitchen and experience the day-to-day operations of this organization. I was able to experience two different sides of the business, prepping meal bags and assembling catering orders for various organizations, including the event staff for the Marseille Olympic torch lighting. This experience provided me with firsthand exposure to various leadership styles, as each section of the kitchen operated under a different chef. Additionally, this opportunity significantly improved my language skills as I communicated exclusively in French throughout the entire month. I am grateful for all the opportunities that being a member of the Responsible International Leadership cohort and ESSEC Business School has brought me. I am looking forward to what comes next!

I am excited to share that I recently started an internship at eGateway Capital Private Equity Firm. I would like to thank Madeline McIntyre, Mike Veith, CFA, and Kevin Gusweiler for the opportunity and I am excited for all of the knowledge and skills I will develop over the next four months. I would like to thank Phi Chi Theta | Zeta Sigma Chapter for preparing me for the internship process. Reflecting back on my sophomore year at University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, I was proud to serve on the executive board of Carolina Women's Club Basketball as social chair. My position included constructing and posting content to platforms including Instagram, Garnet Gate, and Facebook. Additionally I coordinated team bonding activities and planned our semi formal in which I communicated with and invited three other club sports teams to join us. My team had great successes this year, and I am excited to share that we travelled to the NIRSA National Championship in Madison, Wisconsin, and came home National Champions. Alongside our national title, I was also named tournament Most Valuable Player. I am excited to continue serving on executive board and to get back on the floor with my team! Alongside basketball, I also became an active member in my professional business fraternity, Phi Chi Theta | Zeta Sigma Chapter. This spring, Patrick Koon and I were elected as Co-Vice Presidents of Education. I am extremely excited to take on this role with Patrick and assist in preparing pledges to become initiated as full members in the brotherhood.
