✈️ Thrilled to celebrate the arrival of new Peace Corps Trainees to South Africa, Vanuatu, and the Philippines. These dedicated individuals are about to begin an important chapter in their lives and in the communities they will serve. They'll start with pre-service training, a comprehensive program designed to prepare them for the unique challenges and rewards of Peace Corps service. Over the coming weeks, they will immerse themselves in cultural sensitivity, safety and security protocols, health and medical practices, language acquisition, and technical training. This preparation ensures that they are well-equipped to make a positive impact. Once their training is nearly complete, they'll be assigned to their respective sites, ready to officially begin their service. Join us in welcoming these trainees and wishing them success! 🙌 #PeaceCorps #ServeBoldly

Peace Corps Director Carol Spahn was joined by two of our Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, Toni and Cristina, who shared the positive impact of their experiences and why you should take the leap to #ServeBoldly. Many thanks to Congressman John Garamendi, for sharing his own Peace Corps journey and inspiring attendees to consider this life-changing opportunity, and to Representative Garret Graves, Senator Ben Cardin, and Senator Jim Risch for all their support for the Peace Corps. #PeaceCorps

🎊 Today, we celebrate the wonderful people of Benin on their Independence Day. As we mark the occasion, we're sharing how one local organization, the Batonga Foundation, is partnering with our Virtual Service Pilot on a podcast that aims to share the stories of women leaders and inspire the next generation of young girls. This is a powerful example of how we're coming together across culture, history, and language with the communities of Benin. When preparing to make a difference, nothing beats hands-on experience. 📚🏫 In Guyana, Peace Corps Trainees dive into Pre-Service Training with Model School. This initiative lets them step into classrooms, practicing student-centered teaching before their official service begins. Local teachers guide them, providing essential training and real-time feedback, ensuring they are well-prepared. By the end of summer, Trainees have sharper skills and a deeper connection to the community, building a solid foundation for their Peace Corps service journeys. #PeaceCorps #PeaceCorpsGuyana
