About us
PEERS aims to advance and reinforce the European Union’s operational safety and security policies through a co-creation development of a practitioner-driven ecosystem focused on pre-normative / standardisation processes and supporting tools. The PEERS ecosystem supports the effective strengthening of preparedness and response in the field of CBRN-E through the practitioner-driven Better Practice Guide initiative, gamification and e-Learning support. It primarily targets assisting Europe's CBRN-E practitioners, European research policymaking as well as other stakeholders including the research community and national standardisation bodies. A comprehensive engagement and consultation governance mechanism will be applied for the realisation of the ecosystem. Additionally, the ecosystem includes an integration capability to existing community-building platforms and a gamification strategy, aimed at encouraging solid user engagement, strengthening interactions activities, and furthering user training skills based on situational awareness. PEERS brings together an experienced, multi-disciplinary team of specialists, to work together as a focused delivery team on meeting policymaker and practitioner expectations over the course of the project and deliver transformational change in the CBRN-E environment. PEERS has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Grant Agreement No. 101074040. PEERS is a 36-month project, which commenced in November, 2022.

✍️In today’s Co-creation Group meeting Luke Porwol and Abdul Wahid (UoG) are presenting one of the key components of the peers-project-eu ecosystem: the Knowledge Dashboard. This tool guides stakeholders to the most informative documents in the #CBRN sector and allows to have easy access to information thanks to a filtering mechanism. Documents are viewable, shareable and downloadable instantly. PEERS Co-creation in swing .. We are looking forward to our Co-creation Meeting of Minds webinar tomorrow with colleagues from both Europol and the B-prepared Horizon Europe project. The significant collective PEERS WP3 and WP4 undertaking on the peers-project-eu platform will be demonstrated at the webinar and in tanden, it is anticipated that solid feedback on potential synergies across each of the three participating entities will be ascertained. We also look forward to obtaining valued insight to the ongoing research work being conducted in Europol and separately, B-prepared.
