The social marketplace to buy and sell contemporary art.

About us

Peggy is the social marketplace to buy and sell contemporary art. The company was founded by serial entrepreneurs Craig Follett and Adam Meghji, who have worked together for over a decade, and sold their last business to Live Nation Entertainment / Ticketmaster. Peggy partners with galleries and artists, to make living with art accessible to all. Finally, you can buy incredible art at a price you can afford, and can later rehome an artwork with a fellow collector if your tastes change. Core to our values, Peggy does good by the artists themselves, who can finally earn artist royalties for all future secondary sales as well - something they miss out on today. This is all made possible using sophisticated and proprietary AI and ML which keeps buyers and sellers protected.

Discover the profound story behind Jeremy Herndl’s "Fire Blackened Firs," painted on-site at Francis King Park. These ancient, fire-marked trees symbolize the natural cycle and history of the forest. Dive deeper into Jeremy's artistic journey on the Peggy app. It's worth noting that our Co-founder & CEO, Craig Follett, is a proud collector of Jeremy’s work.

We're thrilled to announce that Peggy has launched into the world of art auctions! It all started with an inbound request from a renowned NYC gallery celebrating its 21st anniversary. We facilitated an auction featuring 70 artists, and the success was astounding. This inspired us to scale, and we recently hosted an auction with 700 artworks sold in 700 staggered minutes. This evolution mirrors the journey of Universe, a previous venture by Peggy's founders, Craig Follett and Adam Meghji, which transitioned into ticketing and events. Similarly, we see inbound and outbound auction opportunities creating a network effect, benefiting galleries, curators, artists, and buyers alike. This new venture is redefining our go-to-market strategy, and we couldn't be more excited. Welcome to Peggy. A whole world of art. Download the app today.

At Peggy, we're enhancing the collector experience with personalized recommendations based on purchases and Pegboards. Our app lets you create a virtual collection for free, helping you discover new art and connect with artists. We're excited to introduce our new Your Vault feature. This tool allows collectors to manage and celebrate their entire art collection, including pieces acquired before Peggy. It serves as a comprehensive collection management system, enabling you to track, display, and even sell your artwork. This innovation not only enriches the collector's journey but also fosters stronger connections within the art community. By verifying and authenticating artworks, we onboard new artists and re-engage existing ones, creating powerful network effects. Download the app today, explore Your Vault, and join us in transforming the art world. Welcome to Peggy. A whole world of art. c/o: Craig Follett

At Peggy, we're harnessing the power of AI and augmented reality to revolutionize art authentication. Our platform enables artists to authenticate each unique piece using their smartphones, leveraging advanced camera technology and cloud computing. This ensures the precise verification of one-of-a-kind artworks, transforming the historically analog art market. By empowering human artists to authenticate their creations, we strike a balance in the age of generative AI, fostering a sustainable ecosystem for both human and AI-generated art. Welcome to Peggy. At Peggy, we tackle key challenges in the art world, such as distribution and provenance. Provenance, the chain of custody for an artwork, is crucial yet often lost when pieces are sold and resold. Artists like Peter Doig sometimes lose track of their own creations, which can hinder exhibitions and cultural enrichment. Imagine a singer unable to perform their greatest hits—this is the reality for many artists. Peggy addresses this by maintaining a digital trail, keeping artists connected to their work even after sales. This continuity supports both commercial and cultural value, enriching the art community. Our platform acts like a social network for art, ensuring artworks are accessible and visible rather than hidden in private collections. Emerging artists can use Peggy to build a comprehensive catalogue raisonné, tracking their career's creations and legacy. Join us in making the art world more connected and sustainable. At Peggy, we're revolutionizing the art world by ensuring artists benefit from every resale of their work.  Without us, an artist might see their artwork initially sell for $1,000 or $10,000, and later for a million dollars, without seeing any of that increase.  In Europe and the UK, artists receive a resale royalty of 1% to 4%. We're taking this further, implementing a 5% royalty on all transactions globally. This not only supports artists financially but also makes the art world more equitable and sustainable.  Join us in making a positive social impact and supporting artists worldwide. Welcome to Peggy. We believe no one wants to feel excluded. But, almost everyone feels like they need permission to join the art world.  We believe in art's ability to unite us. But, most of us feel intimidated by it.  We believe we should all have art in our lives and on our walls.  We believe art is for everyone. Artists are some of the best observers of the world around us. Peggy gives the artists behind the art and the gallerists who share it, a new medium to tell their stories. If you want art in your life, Peggy is for you. No experience required. Tune in on the full Innovation Day podcast episode. https://lnkd.in/eCUQjmqn c/o: Craig Follett
