Our co-founders, Jon (Yu) Hu and Samantha Dale Strasser, started Pepper Bio to find treatments for untreatable diseases. Today, we’ve reached a significant milestone toward that mission through our deal with G1 Therapeutics, Inc. for lerociclib. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver cancer, is the third leading cause of all cancer-related deaths. Our platform, COMPASS, has identified lerociclib to be an efficacious therapeutic in treating HCC, and subsequent testing in pre-clinical in vivo models showed superior efficacy over current options during and after dosing.
