This month, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment sports employee resource group, Women’s Leadership Initiative, hosted its first ever Self-Defense Lunch and Learn. Taught by Mark Gallagher, Philadelphia 76ers Season Ticket Member, and his team at AmeriKick Philly (https://lnkd.in/gvGPd5GH) the women learned different self-defense techniques with the goal of improving confidence and instilling a sense of purpose for personal safety and awareness. Over 60 women joined across multiple HBSE properties – Philadelphia 76ers, Delaware Blue Coats, New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center - and had the opportunity to network with each other over lunch from our friends at Wawa, Inc.. Personal safety and awareness are so important but here’s to hoping we never have to use what was learned!
