There are many factors that affect body weight and a person’s ability to manage it. While lifestyle changes continue to be the dominant weight-management method for overweight and obese patients, half of surveyed patients with a BMI of 30 or greater who are concerned about their weight say that it is very difficult to manage. The data indicates there is an opportunity to support overweight and obese patients beyond just lifestyle changes. We recently partnered with Klick to conduct a survey to understand the healthcare experiences of people with #obesity, including how the industry can better serve their healthcare needs. Results from the survey reveal that patients concerned about their weight are interested in personalized resources and educational materials to help them better understand weight-management methods.
