We had an amazing groundbreaking ceremony today at Black Hollow Solar, northern Colorado's largest solar site! 🌞 In addition to the original 150 MW project (estimated to be online in 2025), we are thrilled to announce an additional 107 MW of solar that will begin commercial operation in 2026. When complete, these projects will deliver around 630,000 megawatt-hours annually to power northern Colorado communities. 🏡⚡ Black Hollow Solar is a major step toward our 2018 Resource Diversification Policy goal and to a more sustainable future. We're committed to transitioning to clean energy and replacing our coal-fired power plant by 2029. 🌍🔋 A big thank you to our partner Qcells USA Corp. our Platte River board members and members of the community for joining us today! 🌟 #SolarPower #PlatteRiver

🚧🌞 We're excited to announce that we're breaking ground on Northern Colorado's largest solar site ever! The Black Hollow Solar project is set to start commercial operation in 2025, delivering approximately 367,000 megawatt-hours of energy to Platte River’s system annually—enough to power over 36,000 homes! 🏡⚡️ Despite delays caused by the pandemic and other challenges, Platte River and our partner Qcells North America are eager to begin construction. This project is a key part of our plan to transition to a clean energy future, replacing our coal-fired power plant by the end of 2029. With Black Hollow Solar, we're powering forward toward a sustainable future, guided by our 2018 Resource Diversification Policy. 🌍🔋✨ #SolarPower #PlatteRiver
