This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract has a shared capacity of $20 million among awardees, with a five-year period of performance. “This is a tremendous opportunity to continue serving the Air National Guard and Army National Guard and addressing their design and construction needs for infrastructure projects,” said Pond Senior Vice President Chris Farnie. “Pond’s team of professionals is thrilled to be partnered with Raymond to support the National Guard’s horizontal construction programs in 15 states across the contract region. We look forward to continuing our work with the National Guard Bureau Acquisition community, NGB’s A4 Civil Engineering and ARNG-G9 staffs, Air National Guard Base Civil Engineers, and Army National Guard Construction and Facilities Management Officers on their infrastructure programs.” “Working with the National Guard has been a long-time priority for Raymond-Pond,“ said Raymond President Michael Ramos. “Our team has had the opportunity to work on National Guard projects in the past, and we see this contract as an important steppingstone to continue serving the National Guard’s mission, providing excellent design services, and expanding our capabilities.”  Pond and Raymond have a 25-year relationship, and through the Raymond-Pond Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture, the team has supported the National Guard with professional A-E services delivery through the Air Force “AE Next” Pool 3 General Infrastructure contract prior to this award.  Pond has twenty offices throughout the United States and has been serving National Guard clients for more than 35 years. This #WaterQualityMonth, Pond is improving the canal system in Edgewater, Florida. As the name suggests, Edgewater is heavily influenced by the surrounding waterways, which offer residents peaceful, riverside living. The City of Edgewater engaged Pond to improve two crucial waterways in the city's canal system: the G-2 and G-11 canals. During hurricane events with heavy rainfall and a significant tidal surge, backflow from the Indian River hinders both canals from effectively preventing flooding in the service area. When the canals are unable to drain properly, floodwaters damage homes and create the risk of permanent housing loss. Pond's focus is on preventing backflow and expanding the stormwater capacity of the canal service areas. Proposed improvements include culvert upgrades, backflow prevention, pump stations, flood storage augmentation, flow equalization, and additional gravity flow outfalls. Pond tailors solutions to address the needs of each unique community we work in. Our approach meets current requirements but remains adaptable to future changes in environment and urban developments. To celebrate #NationalAviationDay, Pond would like to highlight our work on the Middle Georgia State University Eastman Campus expansion project. Pond was retained to provide programming, architecture, interior design, engineering, and construction administration services to bolster the University's aircraft maintenance, aircraft structural technologies, and propulsion training programs - in addition to its full flight and air traffic control tower programs. Modernizations include new flight simulation spaces, an avionics lab, and a revamped flight operations and dispatch center. The project will also add student life spaces including a café, an exercise facility, and student study lounges. Located adjacent to the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport, the Eastman campus is the only campus in the University System of Georgia that offers flight training and airport management programs. It includes five hangars in the main building and an airplane runway parallel to the campus. The expansion will bring both a new aircraft maintenance hangar and a renovation of the existing campus facilities and is anticipated to be complete in late 2025.
