Ports America is bridging the gap between the ocean and the cosmos. Recently, our team in Miami expertly loaded a Space X satellite casing onto the Maersk Serangoon cargo ship. The success of this operation was made possible by the planning and precision of Karl Manning, Gilberto Perez, Peter Meghoo, and Jose Godinez in Miami, and was skillfully executed by the NCB, the local ILA, Longshoremen, and Clerks. In every operation, our team is on a mission to ensure smooth sailing… even for the most out-of-this-world cargo! #OnePortsAmerica #ILALocal1416 #ILALocal1922 PortMiami

Working with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Multimodal Freight Office and FLOW: Freight Logistics Optimization Works, Ports America is ensuring cargo fluidity is prioritized in national supply chain infrastructure conversations. We thank USDOT Secretary Pete Buttigieg and the federal government’s immediate coordination of all key stakeholders’ response and recovery in rebuilding the Port of Baltimore and the State of Maryland. As major players in America’s economic engine, we remain agile in developing logistics solutions to handle the ever-evolving supply chain demands of tomorrow. Tom Saunders Matthew Leech Katherine H. Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT) has added 20 propane-powered terminal tractors to its fleet, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable operations. PERC recognized PNCT's dedication to reducing emissions and enhancing operational efficiency by presenting them with an Energy for Everyone Hero Award during a ceremony last week. As one of the busiest container ports in the United States, PNCT's decision to transition to clean, reliable propane is a significant step down the path to zero emissions. Ports America's commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles reflects our commitment to our stakeholders and communities. This year, we are proud to announce that 16 of our locations are Green Marine certified! Green Marine is the leading environmental certification program for North America’s maritime industry. It is a voluntary initiative that helps its participants improve their environmental performance beyond regulations. Green Marine targets key environmental issues related to biodiversity protection, air, water, soil quality, and community relations. Spearheaded by Dr. Sharifa Batts, Head of Environment & Sustainability, and Kelli Hardesty, Environment and Sustainability Manager, Ports America's participation in the Green Marine certification program allows us to highlight the strides we have made in our decarbonization initiatives.
