About us
Positive Tomorrows is Oklahoma’s only tuition-free, private elementary school specifically for children and families experiencing homelessness. Over 100 students in Early Head Start through 6th Grade attend Positive Tomorrows each year, where they receive education while their families get support to create a better life. We help by meeting basic needs of our children to remove barriers to learning, by teaching families to become self-sufficient and by providing education to children who are academically and socially behind due to the chaos in their lives. In reality, we provide something much greater than the sum of our programs – we give hope today, along with the promise for a better tomorrow.

For families experiencing homelessness, the joy and learning that summer can bring are often just out of reach. That's why this week, we welcomed current and former students to summer camp at no cost to parents. Kids get to experience all the magic of summer, and families can continue pursuing housing and employment goals while knowing their children are in a secure and engaging space. Congratulations to 5th grader, Aiden! Back in February, our friends from the National Association of Women in Construction sponsored the Block Kids competition at our school. Block Kids is a building competition introducing children to construction. Students have an hour to build a structure out of Legos, string, a rock, and foil. Aiden was our school’s 1st place winner and advanced to the regional competition and WON! 🏆 His creation will go on to the national program. Thank you to our local NAWIC Oklahoma City #383 for sponsoring this event and hosting a pizza party for Aiden's class to celebrate.

Our 6th and 7th graders visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum last week. They took a tour of the grounds with a Park Ranger, participated in a Forensics Lab where they investigated the evidence and timeline of the attack, and explored the museum honoring the 168 victims and over 600 survivors of the1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. It was an important field trip with big meaning and deep thought as they shared this unique learning experience together.
