Our latest blog, "One Year Reflections from the Alumni Grant Pool," by Kelley Buhles, Stephone Coward II and Sabrina Wu is live! The JEI Alumni Grant Pool completed its first round of funding, and as members of the Alumni Committee, Kelley, Stephone and Sabrina share reflections and lessons learned from this pilot process. "The JEI Alumni Review Committee utilizes non-extractive, trust based and participatory processes to flow funding to as many applicants as possible. The hope of the JEI Alumni Grant Pool is that making financial support available to JEI alumni will catalyze visionary work across the alumni network, provide energy and fortitude to alumni in their journeys as financial activists and create a platform for re-engaging with the alumni network to forge collaborations and relationships." https://lnkd.in/dYUxPiCv

Possibility Labs' donor partners like Kataly Foundation are doing their part, but there are still so many changes that need to happen in order for philanthropic funding to fulfill its potential to seed a more just and sustainable economy: giving more, giving faster, giving without strings attached, giving integrated capital, and centering community decision making.
