Today, July 17th, is Glioblastoma Awareness Day 🧠 Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive form of brain cancer, accounting for nearly 50% of all primary malignant brain tumors. Each year, according to the NCI, approximately 14,490 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with this devastating disease. The five-year survival rate is only 6.9%, highlighting the urgent need for more research and better treatments. In addition to raising awareness about GBM, Patient Empowerment Network honors those who have been impacted by the disease and supports efforts to develop better treatment options that will improve patients’ long-term prognoses. Together, we can make a difference. 💙 #GlioblastomaAwareness #CureGBM

Today, we remember and honor Jack Aiello, a cherished member of the Patient Empowerment Network (PEN) family and limitless myeloma advocate. As our board chair, Darla Brown, beautifully stated, 'Jack generously donated his time, resources, and experiences to advocate for other cancer patients as a member of the PEN board. His contributions were pivotal to the organization’s growth and success. Beyond that, he was a trusted colleague, always willing to lend a hand to help others. He will be sorely missed.' Jack's dedication and compassion have left an indelible mark on our community. We invite you to join us in celebrating his legacy by sharing your memories and stories. Together, we continue his mission of empowerment and advocacy. 💙 #RememberingJack #PatientEmpowerment
