To bring our newly expanded team together and toast to the new combined company, we hosted not just a happy hour but a Power Hour! Thanks to @DeliciousExperiences for teaching us how to shake and stir two great cocktails paired with yummy snacks. Mixology is actually very scientific, which our group of engineers. mathematicians and consultants totally appreciated—as did the rest of our employees. Two parts spirit, one part sour, and one part sweet: an isosceles triangle of deliciousness. Cheers!

Our leadership team is meeting at TA Associates’ office in Boston this week. Check out the view of the city from the 56th floor! @JoeDeMatteo, @BorisGisin, Manos Obessis, @TaraKilgore, @KevinCarden and @NickWintermanel hunkered down for various workshops to review systems and processes following last week’s announcement about combining PowerGEM and @ Astrapé. We’re also planning and budgeting for the new fiscal year, which starts June 1, including an in-person meeting we want to host for the whole company later this year. The integration team also enjoyed a delicious dinner together, and we were joined by @CharlesHa, @PeterKeirnan and @RachelPennycuick.

We celebrated the acquisition of Astrapé Consulting at their office in Hoover, Alabama, yesterday. Our new CEO, @Joe DeMatteo, was joined by Astrapé Founder @KevinCarden, Astrapé Principal @NickWintermanel, and @TA Associates @CharlesHa to discuss the combined organization’s strategy and goals in a joint meeting with all employees. Together, we’ll serve customers responsible for meeting the rapidly evolving operational and planning needs of the North American power grid and related markets, including the expanded and sustainable use of renewable energy resources.

We have some important news to share … PowerGEM has acquired Astrapé Consulting, a leader in resource adequacy for reliably managing the transition to clean energy. We also are excited to welcome our new CEO, Joe DeMatteo. He will lead the combined organization, working closely with founders Boris Gisin and Manos Obessis who continue to hold executive leadership positions.
