As reliable, dispatchable fossil-fueled generation retires across the U.S, our nation’s energy mix shifts toward intermittent renewables, and our industry prepares for an anticipated surge in electricity demand to power economic development, electrification and the AI revolution, keeping the lights on 24/7 will become an even bigger challenge. Against this backdrop, PPL CEO Vince Sorgi sat down recently with Edison Electric Institute's Kristine Telford for the latest episode of the We Stand for Energy podcast, The Current. In the interview, Vince addresses rising concerns around resource adequacy, shares his thoughts on potential solutions to ensure adequate energy supply every minute of every day, and discusses how PPL is approaching a topic that’s central to our nation’s continued growth and prosperity.
