It sounds like a patent litigator's wish list: ● a permanent injunction against a patent infringer, stretching across multiple jurisdictions; ● first-instance decisions on the merits within a year; ● a growing roster of more than 100 elite patent judges; ● the best procedural rules selected from various member states; and ● no option for jury trial. These are all features of the new Unified Patent Court, a pan-European tribunal for addressing complex patent disputes.
