It was a pleasure for our associates to attend the GBTA | Global Business Travel Association Convention 2024 last month. In particular, we are proud to share that Kimberly Wilson, our SVP of Global Sales – Corporate was invited to speak at the event as part of a GBTA WINiT panel on “Winning in the Workplace”. The panel examined whether women are winning in the workplace, identifying a key challenge as the first promotional step to manager level - this year, for every 100 men, only 73 women of color are promoted to manager, a decline from 82 women of color last year. The session also took time to recognize successes such as the number of women in the C-suite increasing from 17% to 28%. Alongside the data around the path to greater equality, the session also provided a space for the participating panelists to speak on their own personal experiences and career paths. Through the talk, Kimberly, who was also recently appointed to the GBTA | Sustainability Committee, spoke about her own personal experience as a mother and woman of color in the travel industry. We are very grateful to her for sharing her insight but also more widely, for being an integral part of our incredible team committed to being Proudly Preferred.
