We are a veteran-owned workforce development company that optimizes military talent for private sector employment

About us

PreVeteran is a veteran-owned, data-driven workforce development company that specializes in optimizing military members and military spouses for private sector employment before they leave the military. We believe that empowering the individual to regain their thinking and decision-making autonomy is foundational to their success post-military. PreVeteran has been successfully providing this high-powered individual training since 2021. In additional to individual training, PreVeteran also provides corporate training and higher ed training. Both training offers are born out of lessons learned from the individual training we've been running since 2021. In short, we understand how military members who don't receive individual training behave in corporate and higher ed environments and can help your organization optimize your current employees / student veterans. And our programs can bolt on to your existing programs. Our light framework is adaptable and scalable to meet your needs, big or small. Have questions? Yowza...did you see this? 🤯 The US Army spent a whopping $11M getting "The Rock" to help with recruiting. According to this report from the New York Post, not only did the effort not work, it actually hindered recruiting. What does this say about the state of recruiting, if anything at all? Thoughts? #military #transitioningmilitary #militarytransition

For those of you that follow us at PreVeteran, check out this article headline from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website. "Optimize Your Transition, maximize your career potential." Glad to see that other organizations are taking notice and adopting the "Optimize Your Transition" wording we've been using for years now. 😉 #blueocean #militarytranstion #transitioningmilitary #preveteran #training #betteroutcomes

This RAND article piggy backs on the US Government Accountability Office's report claiming #militarytransition programs aren't working. You don't say...perhaps they should take a look at PreVeteran? 😉 Here's why... From the article: ❌ The government invests over $13 billion annually in military transition programs, but “very few programs focus on military-to-civilian employment transitions,” the report found. ✅ PreVeteran focuses heavily on post-military employment transitions and outcomes but does so much more. From the article: ❌ Further, investment in transition programs does not always have a direct effect on outcomes. The Transition Assistance Program, a DoD program that provides pre-separation counseling and employment counseling, did not yield higher wages for its participants, the report found. ✅ PreVeterans who enter our Military Transition 2.0 System, which includes a "Negotiate the Highest Possible Salary & Benefits Course," (on average) successfully negotiate an additional $16,500 in salary and / or bonus with our best-in-class training. 🤑 From the article: ❌ “There is virtually no evidence that any of the programs we examined has had a direct effect on transition outcomes,” the report found. “In some cases, the evidence was counterintuitive: The … Transition Assistance Program … was associated with lower wages for those who participate in the program.” Serious question—Why do you keep investing then? ✅ PreVeteran's best-in-class training and Military Transition 2.0 System provides the service member the individual tools, enduring support, and community that allows the service member to be fully optimized for their post-military life...including employment. We have the testimonials and case studies to prove it. ✅ Best of all, within two years, PreVeteran training can be scaled to support the entire military transitioning population. Don't believe us DoD Military-Civilian Transition Office? Let's run a funded pilot in early 2025. What do you have to lose? #stopbeingsurprised #preveteran #betteroutcomes #empowerment ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PreVeteran is a veteran talent development company that specializes in optimizing military service members for post-military, private sector employment. The United States Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs needs to wake up to the reality that these poor outcomes are the direct result of the program of record, TAP, they created—that does not work. The fact that the program does not work is not conjecture, it's been written about extensively by the US Government Accountability Office, RAND, and others in the past few months. 🔷 Here is fundamental reason the TAP program does not, and will not, work. It's achilles heel is that the system in 1991 was designed on the flawed predicate that the military and private sector environments are similar. From a human behavior standpoint, this means the service member has NO IDEA how much they need to individually change to be successful in the private sector environment. So, they think they are "good to go" don't prepare, then suffer the consequences this article sums up. Again, to be crystal clear. IT IS THE TAP MODEL THAT CREATED THIS! 👉 The solution is to give service members back their individual autonomy and make them competent in the private sector BEFORE they leave the military. How do we know this? Because we've been successfully doing this for the past 3+ years with unbelievable outcomes. Empowered service members who are competent and comfortable moving over to the private sector eliminate much, if not all, of the stress associated with transition. #stopbeingsurprised Phillip, if you'd like to learn more specifics about how to actually solve this problem, reach out to our founder, Jason C. Anderson. He'll be happy to walk you through our Military Transition 2.0 System, testimonials, and case studies. We're sick of seeing these articles when there's actually a viable, commonsensical, scalable, and cost effective solution available right now.

Ah, so true when it comes to post-military employment...let's explain this one a bit for some additional context. ☕ While #military service members typically have a primary and secondary MOS/AFSC/Rate, they all do whatever the unit needs, which means they are generalists. Why is this a problem? Well, when your brain gets used to this generalist model over years of military service, it turns into the heuristic. From a neurological standpoint, this means that your brain essentially begins to see life through the generalist lens. It fact, in many ways it becomes a part of the way you automatically think...and it's increasingly hard to see outside of that lens. This means that when you approach #militarytransition, you'll be looking for a job that mirrors your generalist attributes you've honed while serving in the military. Unfortunately, 99% private sector companies aren't looking for a generalist. That's not how they approach serving their market. ✅ They hired credentialed specialists. ❌ They DON'T hire generalists. So, here's the cool part about getting your head wrapped around becoming a specialist. Once you become a specialist, your job actually gets EASIER because you're not trying to do everyone else's job in addition to your job. Plus, you get the added bonus of not pissing off your coworkers who won't tell you to stay out of their lane—they'll just stop talking to you, harbor animus, and maybe tell your supervisor. 😊 So, that's why you should listen to the Oracle and what she says in this image. 😎 #matrix #preveteran #transitioningmilitary #commonsense #businessacumen #vetjobs

QUARTERLY REMINDER—Don't be this guy! 😉 This is the logical result of the current TAP/TRS/SFL program that does not address the #military service members mindset and creates poor outcomes for the service member, their family, their employer, their higher ed institution, and the aggregate veteran community. There is a much better way through PreVeteran. If you want to learn more, drop a line in the comments below or DM Jason C. Don't be surprised or upset about this article talking about the United States Marine Corps and DoD-SkillBridge. This trend will continue to grow because the SkillBridge program is not working as intended. Here's why... ✅ The intent behind SkillBridge is a good one; however, ❌ In practice, SkillBridge has been and will continue to be a lose-lose-lose proposition because military #servicemembers have not done the due diligence to figure out what industry they want to enter, let alone the company, before they enter "a" SkillBridge Let's break down the lose-lose-lose... ❌ The service member loses because they won't get a full time offer, because chances are, they are in the wrong industry and / or company ❌ The company lost a potential employee because the service member chose "a" SkillBridge, not the "right" SkillBridge ❌ The Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve units are losing a taxpayer-funded body needed to accomplish their DoD mission So, when it's broken down like this, it's no wonder why the Marine Corps is curtailing the amount of time service members can participate in SkillBridge and they are not alone. The Navy is significantly curtailing their participation in the program overall. Like we said before, expect this trend to continue—it only makes sense. Think we have it wrong? Let's hear it in the comments below. 👇 #stopbeingsurprised #skillbridge #preveteran
