In his role, Blake will oversee the company’s partnership and corporate income tax compliance, corporate tax accounting, short and long-term tax planning in addition to all sales tax, property tax, tax credits and business license related. Blake succeeds Char Woodall, who will continue with the company part-time as she transitions into semi-retirement. He will report directly to Kristi Ponczak, the Chief Financial Officer. Guardian Ambulance, a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, is pleased to announce that Jason Herring has been promoted to Director of Operations - East. In his new role, Jason will oversee the day-to-day operations of South Carolina’s Florence and Columbia operations. Before his promotion, Jason served as the Operations Manager for Guardian Ambulance. Additionally, he directed 9-1-1 ambulance services in Chesterfield County for Medshore Ambulance and was a senior paramedic and shift supervisor for First Health of the Carolinas. With more than 20 years of experience in the EMS industry, Jason has shown immense dedication to his patients and colleagues, earning himself Employee of the Year awards at both First Health and Medshore Ambulance. He was also given the Bruce Rogers Award for Outstanding Service and Dedication in Community Service for Chesterfield County in 2019. 🎓🚑 Yesterday, we were thrilled to celebrate our recent graduates at their EMT Completion Ceremony at Chaffey College in Fontana, CA! 🎉 This unique partnership between Chaffey College, CONFIRE, and Priority Ambulance is bridging the gap between education and career opportunities. Participating students received top-notch instruction from experienced professionals and gained hands-on experience through ambulance ride-alongs and simulated emergency scenarios. After successfully completing the National Registry Exam, they will begin their EMS careers with CONFIRE EMS. We are excited to welcome these graduates to the CONFIRE EMS team and look forward to the positive impact they will make in the communities they serve!

Chris brings a wealth of experience in emergency medical services and operations management to our Priority team. With more than three decades of experience in the EMS industry, Chris has held leadership positions within Global Medical Response and Rural/Metro Corporation, including operations management, strategic planning, and business development. His background includes managing large teams of paramedics and EMTs, overseeing fleet operations, and successfully negotiating service agreements in competitive environments. Initially, Chris will serve in a support function, assisting various local operations in support of our regional presidents around the country. This role will allow him to gain in-depth knowledge of our company’s operations across different regions. Chris will report to Chief Operating Officer Steve Blackburn. “We’re excited to welcome Chris to the Priority Ambulance family.
