Laura has been with Protective for 28 years and is based in our St. Louis, MO, office. She leads the Protective Asset Protection legal team, providing guidance for the division’s growth, business operations, acquisitions and integration strategies. A graduate of Drake University Law School, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, parents and the family dog, Faith. She takes pride in being a continual learner, professionally and personally. She taught herself how to repair her mother’s vintage sewing machine and sewed masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Sewing is a connection to my mom and grandmother and a great stress reliever!” Laura says. Laura has had a fun and relaxing summer in St. Louis. She looks forward to seeing the 1930s farmhouse her husband is rebuilding finally come to life.

Protecting our communities Serving people and supporting our communities remains at the heart of what we do. In July, Protective teammates in the St. Louis area held a donation drive for the Ronald McDonald House of St. Louis. The team delivered the supplies to the new facility along with a monetary donation from the Protective Life Foundation. St. Louis teammates also took part in Protective’s Week of Service by spending a day cleaning up Faust Park in partnership with Missouri Botanical Garden. Thank you to all of our teammates who participated and the Activities, Charities and Teambuilding (ACT) Committee for their partnership in these initiatives! #Protective

Spotlighting our Protectors Heath Rosa is one of our IT team’s business system analysts. In his role, he works with multiple teams to define project requirements, troubleshoot production issues and support recurring development tasks. Heath joined Protective in 2022 as part of the AUL acquisition and is a member of our virtual workforce based in Napa, CA. He recently joined the Project Unify team and is excited to learn more about Asset Protection’s various applications while helping support the unification process. He enjoys working on a project that aligns with our core values, specifically to serve people and aspire for better. Thinking about how the improvements will benefit the company, fellow Protectors and our external partners is very rewarding for him.
