Who loves Paul Harvey’s “the rest of the story?” Or in more recent years, Mike Rowe’s “the way I heard it?” This story in Packaging World made us think about our version of what was the New Product Works collection… When IPSOS didn’t know where to turn to donate this one of a kind, incredible collection, they turned to PTIS. Timing is everything - and we happened to participate in a brainstorming session with MSUs Packaging Alumni Association and Industry Advisory Board when Director Matt Daum challenged, “when we complete the phase I building modernization, what will we do with the space if we double the space in phase 2.” One idea was making a space for the collection - PTIS made the introduction, facilitated discussions, helped with valuation, and the rest is history. So, that’s the rest of the story! https://lnkd.in/gzBGcxJs

Our own Brian Wagner joins Ryan Weiss on a recent episode of OPTICS™ in Action. Shares perspectives on mentoring, packaging, process and foresight. https://lnkd.in/gG4XvdsB
In today’s episode of OPTICS™ in Action, Ryan C Weiss and Brian Wagner, Co-Founder of PTIS LLC, shared their perspective on the role of packaging as a potential solution to global problems, rather than just a source of waste. Brian emphasizes 3 key points: 1. People, Process, and Packaging: Brian emphasizes the importance of these three pillars in the packaging industry. Leveraging technology and embracing foresight can drive innovation and address global challenges. 2. The Future is Now: Mega trends like generative artificial intelligence, circular economies, and Industry 4.0 are shaping the future of packaging. Anticipating and adapting to these trends is crucial for staying ahead in the industry. 3. Packaging as a Solution: Instead of viewing packaging as a source of waste, Brian sees it as a potential solution to global problems like food waste. Sustainable practices and innovative designs can transform packaging into a hero rather than an enemy.
