When you receive a job offer, your immediate response should always be one of sincere gratitude.   It's essential to convey appreciation for the opportunity presented, regardless of whether the offer meets your expectations or not.   However, it's equally important not to reveal your feelings about the offer right away. Take the time to fully understand the offer and the company's performance management system. This understanding can significantly influence your perception of the offer's value.   Reacting solely to the numerical aspects of the offer overlooks the broader context, including how it aligns with your career goals and potential for growth within the organization.   Instead of forming an opinion right off the bat, ask questions to gain clarity. One effective question to start with is:   "𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫?"   This question opens the door for a constructive conversation about the offer, allowing you to understand the rationale behind the salary or compensation package and negotiate terms that better align with your expectations and worth.   -------   Follow QDStaff for top-notch advice, exclusive roles, and the best game industry opportunities. "Gamemaking is especially laborious and especially ripe for automation," said a recent article in The Economist.   The quality, cost, and cycle time of game development are on track to change rapidly.   AI represents an “explosion of opportunity”, believes Steven Collins, the technology chief of King, which makes “Candy Crush Saga”, a hit mobile game. King, which bought an AI firm called Peltarion last year, uses AI to gauge levels’ difficulty. “It’s like having a million players at your disposal,” says Mr Collins.    Games’ interactivity requires them to be stuffed with laboriously designed content: consider the 30 square miles of landscape or 60 hours of music in “Red Dead Redemption 2”, a recent cowboy adventure. Enlisting AI assistants to churn it out could drastically shrink timescales and budgets.   Studios are already using AI for story development, art, QA, and coding. The good news is that no one believes AI will replace game teams.   AI is all upside down in gaming. Forward-thinking game studios will separate from the pack. Curious and resourceful employees who embrace AI will see a similar separation in career growth. AI is here. What is your opinion on how AI will impact the gaming industry?   --------   If you want to improve GGR you need a recruiting partner with a scientific approach to game studio talent transformation. Good games aren't luck. They are the result of great teams… and our clients prove it.     #AIinGaming #GameDevelopment #FutureofGaming #gamedesign #AIAssistant #GameStudios #TechInnovation #AI #iGaming #QDStaff

Nervous about an upcoming interview? Are you processing way too much advice about how you should talk about yourself in an interview. This hack will simplify the interview and give you more success. Sales people know that talking about the product first is the wrong way to close any deal. You need to shift from thinking about talking to thinking about getting the answers from the interviewer. David Sandler, one of the all time greatest sales coaches, has a great phrase for talking too much about your product in an interview. He calls it "spilling your candy in the lobby." Use these questions to get the interviewer to tell you what they want to hire before you tell them what you have to "sell."  • When it comes to compatibility with you and the team, what attributes are you looking for?  • If you had a magic wand, what accomplishments or value would the person in this role have delivered in the next year?  • I understand this team is in motion and moving fast, what are your expectations on the amount of time a new hire has to reach the expected contribution level? Now you know the type of person they want, the performance they expect, and the proficiency required. The focus moves from you talking about you to you talking about them. That will be both easier and more successful. ----- Follow QDStaff for top-notch advice, exclusive roles, and the best game industry opportunities. When looking for a job, you're likely to be asked about your salary expectations. Here's what you need to know:   Understanding the Employer's Perspective   Employers ask about salary to ensure your expectations align with their budget. This helps avoid wasting time on candidates whose salary needs don't match what the company can offer.   Aiming for a Win-Win   Both you and the employer are seeking a mutually beneficial agreement. You need to determine your "win" based on four considerations:   1️⃣ What you require: The minimum amount to cover your basic living expenses. 2️⃣ What you need: A baseline that supports your lifestyle and future goals. 3️⃣ What you want: A bit more than what you need, providing some financial cushion. 4️⃣ What you deserve: This can be subjective and emotionally charged, so handle it carefully.   Setting Your Range Your salary range should be between "what you need" and "what you want." Employers often have flexibility, so present a range to leave room for negotiation.   Communicating Your Expectations Use this framework to confidently discuss salary, aiming for a balance that aligns with your values and needs. This approach helps you negotiate effectively and make value-based decisions about job offers.   For step-by-step instructions and recommended calculations, read our blog post: https://lnkd.in/dHQXWrRK #salary #interview #salaryexpectation #hiring #recruiters #urgenthiring #QDStaff
