🌿 Radicle's LEAF Initiative Application Now Live 🌿 Today, the Radicle Development Center has launched the initial application period for the LEAF Initiative, a new type of incubator program to support CO2 removal & utilization entrepreneurs with high-quality product development services. Thanks to the backing of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Fossil Energy and Carbon Management and American-Made Program, we will be subsidizing project work for ten companies per year, offering a 50/50 cost split up to $20K per team. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis; however, there is a soft deadline of May 31 to be considered for the initial cohort that will be announced in June 2024. Check out our HydroBox installation mock-up at Radicle Development Center in Malvern, PA. We'll bring in contractors to perform service and replacement, then refine the design to further simplify the process. HydroBox is designed to allow all maintenance through the top grille opening, including sliding the unit in and out for replacement. It's about making O&M as quick and simple as possible. A top priority for building owners and operators. The only moving parts in the HydroBox are the small fan array and the control valve. Can't get much simpler than that. #electrification #retrofit #modularconstruction

It was a pleasure to host David Goldstein, PE at our facility today to show him the great work our team has done to create a test bench to further optimize the HydroBox heat exchanger design. We will be using this simulated wall cavity to evaluate serviceability improvements that will be incorporated into future product iterations. And let us also take a moment to congratulate the Hydronic Shell Technologies team on their recently awarded $3MM grant from Enterprise Community Partners and the Wells Fargo Foundation that will support the deployment of their system on a 7-story multifamily building in Syracuse, NY. Radicle Development Center is honored to be part of the team and looks forward to playing a key role in realizing HST's vision of non-invasive building retrofits that improve both energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
