Looking for fun afterschool activities? Enroll your child in Handwriting/Fine Motor Fun Group at the Cooperman Center! A fun therapeutic enrichment to strengthen and improve your child's fine motor and handwriting skills, with opportunities for sensory breaks and play in the gym. Is your child needing assistance with their handwriting and fine motor skills? Join us! Children will work on age-appropriate handwriting skills, as well as other fine motor and sensory activities and games, putting the FUN in FUNctional Enrichments! Our experienced Therapists will guide children through a variety of hands-on fine motor activities that promote proper handwriting skills. Sloppy handwriting that interferes with learning is a big challenge for many kids! So is an awkward pencil grasp that makes writing more difficult than it needs to be. This group will provide children with the skills to improve letter formation, line use, spatial awareness, letter size, letter reversals and all of the areas that impact handwriting. They will learn techniques for grasping a pencil, pencil control, and the motor planning necessary for improved handwriting skills, while building friendships, engaging with peers and earning stimulation breaks in the sensory gym. Classes run August 27th- December 17th. $375 for the entire 16 week series. Students at DKJA will be picked up from their classrooms and brought to the Cooperman Center. Join us for an exciting and engaging sensory class at The Cooperman Center! This afterschool enrichment is designed to provide a fun and active sensory experience for children in K-2. Our experienced Therapists will guide children through a variety of hands-on activities and games that stimulate the senses. From sensory bins to obstacle courses, your child will have the opportunity to explore different textures, colors, and materials in a safe and supportive environment, as well as learn self-regulation techniques and social skills. Not only will this class be a great way for your child to unwind and have fun after a long day at school, but it will also help develop their sensory and social skills and encourage creativity. So, don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to enhance your child's learning experience! Classes run August 28th - December 13th. $350 for the entire 15 week session.
