Advancing & Safeguarding the Refrigerated Food Industry
About us
The Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA) is an organization of manufacturers and suppliers of refrigerated prepared foods united by a common interest: to advance and safeguard the industry. We develop programs to enhance and promote food safety, strengthen the operating practices of our member companies, and foster a networked community to share information. By pooling resources, the association can develop valuable programs that an individual company might find prohibitively expensive. Members include manufacturers and suppliers of wet salads, refrigerated entrees and side dishes, dips, desserts, soups, and ethnic foods, as well as companies engaged in business operations related to the refrigerated foods industry. Being united allows RFA members access to the resources necessary to strengthen their companies and promote the industry. This is accomplished through research projects, marketing campaigns, training tools and seminars. For more information on how to join the RFA please visit our Web site at www.refrigeratedfoods.org, or call us at (678) 426-8175.

We are grateful for our incredible members who actively participate in #NationalDeliSaladMonth and give back to their communities. Check out this inspiring post from one of our members:
July is #NationalDeliSaladMonth! 🥪 Every July, members of the Refrigerated Foods Association are called to partner with food banks across the country to fight food insecurity. Locally, we work with St. Louis Area Foodbank, a Feeding America partner for our donations. Year to date, we've donated 123,832 pounds of protein, like the ones you see here. 🥪 The average American consumes ~260 lbs of protein every year, so that means, Deli Star Corporation has fed 487 people for an entire YEAR!

With only one week left in July, the RFA encourages everyone to continue their participation and support of National Deli Salad Month! Join us as we work to strengthen customer relationships, encourage consumers to enjoy deli salads during our peak season, and partner with food banks throughout the US. "Food traceability provides comprehensive information about a product’s history and origin, facilitating efficient recalls and supply chain management. However, distinct types of food fraud, such as concealment, counterfeit, and mislabelling, pose significant challenges. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new regulatory measures, like the FDA’s traceability rule, enhance food safety and authenticity, fostering a more transparent and reliable food supply chain." https://lnkd.in/dzyEctj7
