We were thrilled to host 3 separate Summer Educators Bootcamp at Reineke Family Dealerships over the past 3 weeks! With over 50 participants, educators had the opportunity to learn about in-demand skills firsthand through business tours and coursework supported by funding from the Lieutenant Governor. This program not only benefits our dedicated educators, but also helps showcase the local opportunities available to students in our community. 🏆 A few months ago, we had the honor to share that our very own David Borer won the top spot at the 2023 U.S. Auto Tech National Championship Driven by Yokohama! 🚗 🔧 📺 Watch him now as a member of the Hall of Champions! 👏 Congrats David! We're proud of you! ___ 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱: David Borer has worked for Reineke Family Dealerships since 2001. David currently works with all Reineke dealership locations in their service departments. Specifically, he helps to train Express Service and Mobile Service Technicians. He has been instrumental in the launch of Mobile Service at our Ford stores too! 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: The U.S. Auto Tech National Championship Driven by Yokohama was created in 2021 to showcase the incredible skills of auto technician professionals and students across the country while elevating the awareness and importance of trade jobs across the globe. The top Auto Technicians went through multiple qualifying rounds testing their skills and knowledge, culminating in an all-expense paid trip to Tampa, Florida for their chance to over $100k. David was 1 of 4 professionals who went to Tampa, Florida to compete in the U.S. Auto Tech National Championship where he competed head-to-head against other "top techs". The final round competition simulated real-life, in-shop scenarios where he was given a repair order tasking him to remove and replace the following parts to get his guest back on the road: -Monroe Quick Struts, Monroe Shock Absorbers, Monroe Shock Mounts, Champion Spark Plugs, MOOG Front & Rear Hubs, MOOG Inner & Outer Tie Roads, and MOOG Front & Rear Sway Bar Link. After getting the most amount of work from the repair order completed, David took 1st place! In addition to the title of 2023 U.S. Auto Tech National Champion, David won $40,000 and a set of Yokohama tires! We were very lucky to have some visitors at Reineke Ford in Fostoria last week! Special thank you to Reinhart Square, a cross-categorical special education classroom from FOSTORIA CITY SCHOOLS! These students are in 10th grade - 12th grade and focus primarily on community service and life/functional skills. And this is their 2nd trip to Reineke Ford over the years! It was fun to give them a tour of the dealership and discuss all of the day-to-day happenings in our sales, service, parts, and body shop areas! Thanks for visiting us!
