This innovative facility includes a Head Start center, outpatient health center, three-acre urban farm, on-site market, community hall, and teaching kitchens for nutrition education. The 71,000 sf learning laboratory holds the distinction of being the first and largest recipient of the Phius Zero 2021 Design Certification. AGC is also pursuing the Living Building Challenge, further promoting net-positive energy use and sustainability. Beyond AGC's mission, the school hub extends amenities to the community and planned mixed-income housing and retail development. We've enjoyed the journey as designs come to life for the largest healthcare project under construction in the U.S. This state-of-the-art campus will encompass cutting-edge facilities to create a community where innovation, compassion, and excellence converge.
Construction crews are well underway building IU Health's new downtown campus that will combine Methodist and University hospitals. The roughly $4 billion project is on schedule to be completed by December, 2027. "We're in the shell and core component, meaning the major structure going up into the air," said Ryan Nagy, MD, President of IU Health’s downtown hospitals. "We're right at the base of where the patient towers will start to form. You'll see that progress in the next year with all the glass and then we'll have roughly two years where that building will be done from an external perspective and that's when we're going to outfit all the internal parts."

Real transformation takes teamwork. A tight timeline, a mid-project transition in school leadership, and the normal challenges of a complete renovation in a tight summer window did not stop our team from completing the task at hand. The dining commons at a smaller size university has to be a magnet. A true student union setting that serves as a social hub for current students and staff and attracts potential students and their families to the campus. At the University of Indianapolis, an institution with approximately 4,000 students, the Schwitzer Student Center has become just that. In its first operational academic year since the transformation, meal plan participation and ala carte food sales are up significantly. More importantly, a true sense of community has been heightened. Students, staff, and visitors gather, mingle, and linger in this beautiful space. We are grateful for the patience of the new administration at the University of Indianapolis and the faith of our partner Quest Food Management Services. The creative skills of Arthur Oudemeyer (servery & dining interiors) and brandspace (signage & graphics) brought it all together in a truly transformational way.

How about a quality control check or "an extra set of eyes" for a design charrette? Bronson's got you. Pushing a deadline and need someone to crank out high-quality work product? Yup. Bronson will make it happen. He has truly earned the nickname "Gumby" for the Design Team!
