Related Northwest is honored to receive the PNBC Golden Nugget Merit Award for Best Affordable Housing Community (60-100 du/acre) for the Cathedral Village Apartments. Located in the St. Johns neighborhood of Portland, Cathedral Village provides 110 apartments for low and very low-income individuals and families, with eight units dedicated to providing Permanent Support Housing. Developed with the idea of bringing together art, music, and the greater St. Johns' neighborhood, Cathedral Village features onsite supportive services and amenities, including a community room, teen lounge, playground, barbeque, and picnic areas. In Partnership with Vibe of Portland, Cathedral Village includes a dedicated music studio that hosts family programming and provides children access to musical instruments, music recording equipment, and software. Many thanks to partners LMC Construction, MWA Architects, Inc., the Portland Housing Bureau, and Vibe of Portland.

DJC Top Project awards measure excellence in the region’s built sector and recognize the most outstanding projects completed in the past year in Oregon or Southwest Washington. Our thanks to Walsh Construction Co., C2K Architecture, Inc., the Housing Authority of Washington County, EngAGE, HomePlate Youth Services, and the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization for their partnership. Terrace Glen is a stunning multifamily community that transformed an underutilized lot into an impactful community asset as an intergenerational development with 144 apartments for low to very low-income families and seniors.

Located in close proximity to schools, shopping, food, and transit, Terrace Glen offers beautifully appointed studio and one to four bedroom apartments with many on-site amenities for residents at no extra cost. Terrace Glen also offers additional services designed for seniors and teens. CoStar Impact Awards recognizes commercial real estate initiatives that have transformed communities, and winners are chosen by an independent panel of industry experts. Ryan Hood, Assistant Vice President for Related Northwest, accepts the award.

The Related Northwest team continues spreading holiday cheer throughout Portland. Stef Kondor, SVP Development and Daniela Chancy, Development Associate and Centro Cultural Board Member joined other volunteers to distribute food and toys to 225 families at Centro Cultural de Washington County Annual Holiday Food & Toy Drive. Centro Cultural provides multigenerational and culturally-specific programs and services to the Washington County community, removing barriers to health, well-being and economic mobility.
