With over 30 years of experience as an automotive electrical engineer, Jon has been an invaluable asset to our team. Jon specialises in mapping out, making drawings, and assembling a wide variety of wiring harnesses and looms. His expertise spans from smaller emission control types to full gearbox looms, primarily for HGV vehicles but also for OEM passenger vehicles. Jon has been instrumental in advancing our wiring harness projects, ensuring precision and reliability in every task. Beyond his expertise with looms, Jon possesses solid knowledge in maintaining I-shift gear selectors and various OBD diagnostic cables. He is highly confident in using electrical and electronic common tools for measurements, fault finding, and testing. A special day for us at Reman Parts as we prepare to dispatch our first international repair to a family-run truck company in Australia. They discovered us through a Google search for ‘Volvo engine ECU repair’, thanks to Urban Element. Unfortunately, they were unable to find any local or neighbouring companies. Instead, they found us, an electronic engineering/remanufacturing company based in Chesterfield. The key component in ensuring the vehicle receives those vital communications is the Electronic Control Unit. These units come in various forms, from Engine Control Units (ECU) and Transmission Control Units (TCU) to Body Control Units (BCU). James Cox and Jonathan Lowe have been instrumental in handling the repair process, from the arrival of the unit to its dispatch. You can probably guess from the picture what the celebratory reward was, thanks to Original Stormtrooper Beer Stormtrooper.
