David Miller, MD, who, along with Michelle James, PA-C; Jenny Peck, PA-C (not pictured); and Harrison Sciulli, MD, works at Akron Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department, performing vision-preserving retinal surgeries on patients as young as newborns and up to 18 years old. The second photo shows Dr. Miller performing laser on a six-year-old with a retinal detachment. To help his patient feel less scared, Dr. Miller let the child's teddy bear keep them calm throughout the treatment. Talk about making a difference! #patientsfirst #caringforothers
