Excited to share our newest research out of Duke Orthopaedic Surgery in the The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Inc. focusing on the ethical and policy considerations of orthopaedic care for incarcerated individuals. The reality of mass incarceration poses a severe public health challenge in the U.S., bringing to light the ethical dilemmas and policy hurdles orthopaedic surgeons face in providing care to this marginalized group, especially concerning fracture treatment.
