Tomorrow marks the official 20th anniversary of REVERB. On July 13, 2004, we hit the road with Barenaked Ladies for our first-ever tour. Twenty years and 350 tours later, it’s a little emotional to reminisce about that very first night. Following in the footsteps of Bonnie Raitt and her Green Highway campaign, we were eager to change touring for the better, nervously excited about our fledgling 501(c)(3), and completely unaware of the journey we had in store. A lot has changed since 2004, but our belief in music’s unique ability to unite and move people has only grown stronger as we’ve witnessed the collective power of music-makers and music-lovers to create positive change. Facing the ever-growing threat of the climate crisis, we continue to draw hope, strength, and motivation from our knowledge of what’s possible when we band together in the fight for people and the planet. The positive impacts have reverberated over the last twenty years, adding up to 7.7 million fan actions, $16.7 million raised for environmental causes, 390,000+ tons of CO2E neutralized, over 4 million single-use plastic bottles eliminated, 5,800+ nonprofits supported, and 186,000+ volunteer hours at shows. None of this work would be possible without the entire REVERB community—from our talented and devoted artist partners who harness their platform to make a difference, to our nonprofit, brand, and industry partners who push for a greener live music business, to the tens of thousands of REVERB volunteers who bring energy, heart, and positivity to concerts around the world, to the millions of music fans who’ve taken action with us at shows. Every day for 20 years, this community has continued to inspire and empower the work we do for our collective future. Here’s to you—and the decades to come. With endless gratitude, Adam & Lauren

About us
Leading the green music movement since 2004, REVERB is a 501c3 nonprofit partnering with artists, festivals, venues, and industry leaders to reduce their environmental footprint while empowering millions of fans to take action on today’s most pressing environmental issues. Working with artist partners like Billie Eilish, Maroon 5, P!nk, Harry Styles, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson and many more, REVERB has greened over 300 tours and over 7,000 concert events, neutralized 390,000+ tons of CO2e, prevented the use of more than 4 million single-use plastic bottles at events, and is the Official Music and Public Engagement Partner of the United Nations Environment Programme. In addition to our efforts to make the music industry more sustainable, REVERB’s climate campaigns Music Climate Revolution and Music Decarbonization Project are galvanizing the music community in the fight against the climate crisis. Combined, the two campaigns have led to millions of climate actions and raised over $6 million to support greenhouse gas reduction projects, address climate injustice, and advance the decarbonization of the music industry. https://reverb.org/musicclimaterevolution https://reverb.org/campaign/music-decarbonization-project/
