  • Another dope moment in the books! There's always something magical happening at RICE. Last Friday during our Annual Black Friday Block Party, we announced the winners of the RICE Transformation Week grants. This was a celebration of the remarkable RICE Stakeholders that have demonstrated exceptional growth and innovation in their businesses, and we're proud to celebrate their achievements. Transformation Week was all about showcasing the real impact of our Big IDEAS program. Stakeholders shared how they’ve applied their learnings to elevate their skills, knowledge, and performance. From presentations and demonstrations to powerful testimonials, this weeklong event highlighted the incredible progress they've made. After careful review by a panel of RICE partners, we’re excited to congratulate our top winners: 1st Place: $10K - Amia Mize, Takes A Village Transportation LLC 2nd Place: $5K - Averri Liggins, Black Women Moguls 3rd Place: $2.5K - Tope Mitchell PhD, Reflekt Me This is what it means to Build Black Business the RICE Way! #UncommonAccess #RICEReady #BuildBlackBusiness

  • At RICE, when we say we BUILD BLACK BUSINESS, we understand that we do it as a family. And when family calls, we answer. Right now, our Guru of community correspondence Ashley Scott and our Vice President of Data and Research,Malcolm Muhammad, PhD are a part of an incredible discussion at a family meeting hosted by The Gathering Spot and The Village Market ® It’s a powerful moment of coming together, sharing insights, and addressing the pressing issues that impact the communities we serve. Dr. Muhammad’s presence is adding valuable perspective to the conversation, reminding us all that building Black business is about more than just economic success—it’s about strengthening our communities and creating lasting legacies. Together, as a family, we’re making it happen. You can listen live on Fanbaseapp We’ll share more information and key takeaways from this important discussion very soon! #BUILDINGBLACKBUSINESS #Family #Community #RICEReady #UncommonAccess
