About us

Under the medical leadership of Joel L. Young, MD , RCBM is a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. RCBM also offers a variety of services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors including the treatment ADHD and learning disabilities; depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood and anxiety disorders; work-related concerns, family and marital issues; substance abuse and eating disorders, along with weight management. Mission: RCBM brings the highest quality, measurement-based mental health care to our community. Our core values include evidenced-based therapy, measurable outcomes, and team collaboration between disciplines. We desire to bring university level care to the community in a highly integrated team approach that is medically driven.   • The Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine is an outpatient behavioral health clinic located in Rochester Hills, Michigan. We seek a positive, compassionate, and hard-working team player to join our staff as a full-time Spravato Patient Care Technician in our Spravato Program https://lnkd.in/ezMps9wN Spravato is a nasal spray indicated for adult patients with severe depression. A Spravato technician at RCBM will help administer the medication, take a patient's vitals at various intervals throughout their 3-hour visit, and monitor them throughout. This individual will also correspond with patients referred for treatment, maintain excellent communication with referring clinicians, complete all required documentation, and other associated administrative responsibilities. Full training will be provided. Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $19- $22/hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Disability Insurance Health Insurance Paid time off Schedule: Monday-Friday, with hours to be mutually agreed upon.   • Team Tuesday! Julie obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Oakland University. She spent more than 10 years providing counseling services to active duty service members and families. She has led a substance abuse intensive outpatient treatment programs for women, along with a health professionals recovery program. Her counseling style is Rogerian, which is based on the individual needs of the client. She incorporates principals of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance commitment therapy in sessions. Her passion is working with adults, first responders and health professionals in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, self-esteem, relationship issues, panic disorders, domestic violence, sexual abuse and grief. As a Certified Teacher of Mindfulness Meditation and Compassion, she offers mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques to all patients.

  • Our very own Sarah Hutton, MD, Associate Medical Director, has been named as one of Hour Detroit Magazine Top Doctors for 2024!🏆 Dr. Hutton attended the College of Social Science at Michigan State University. She graduated with honors and achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. While at Michigan State University, she conducted extensive neuroscience research. Dr. Hutton graduated from St. Matthews University School of Medicine with honors in 2012. She completed her four years of residency training in psychiatry at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. In her final year, Dr. Hutton had the honor of serving as chief resident. As chief resident, she established an ongoing Morbidity and Mortality Conference for the Department of Psychiatry to ensure the highest quality of care. Dr. Hutton looks forward to caring for all behavioral conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders and attention deficit disorders. She has a particular interest in all-female behavioral conditions, including premenstrual dysphoric disorder, postpartum depression, menopausal depression, and eating disorders. Furthermore, Dr. Hutton has experience in psycho-oncology and depression of the cancer patient and their family.

She draws on various evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, to tailor treatment to each patient's needs. She also believes in the healing power of mind-body connections and uses mindfulness, breath work, and other grounding activities in session.
