We're meeting the needs of our community at Community Connection events throughout the Rochester region. We had the opportunity to answer customers’ questions at the Monroe County office building. Customer service remains our top priority.

Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) was founded in 1848, and has been in the Rochester community ever since. Today RG&E serves approximately 388,737 electricity customers and 321,651 natural gas customers in a nine-county region centered on the City of Rochester. At RG&E, we've always been dedicated to the communities we serve, and strive daily to provide safe, reliable service to customers. That's why we provide more than electricity. We spearhead conservation efforts, encourage economic growth, assist area businesses and fund important charity organizations through established and often one-of-a-kind programs.

Did you know that power outages are often caused by trees or brush contacting power lines? To combat that, we’re reducing the use of gas-powered machines by using rescue goats from Kaizen Ridge Farm to manage vegetation. This is one of the ways we're working to deliver safe and reliable energy to customers.
