Emmett is 2 years old with tricuspid atresia stenosis, VSD, ASD, severe heart failure, LVAD, and a transplant. He was diagnosed in November 2021, battling his illnesses at home until being admitted to MUSC Children's Health. After almost 8 months, he finally began to stabilize, and they found a heart that was a perfect match in December 2023. Emmett is now six months post-transplant and is doing amazing! Emmett's family stayed with us for 163 nights. “To all of the donors who help RMHC Charleston, you are the difference in the world. NASCAR's Hailie Deegan made a pit stop at RMHC Charleston and partnered with AIRBOX® to make a difference! Our #RMHCCharleston Team had the best time at our Business Partner's, ARCO Design/Build, inaugural Charity Pickleball Tournament! This event raised $9,000 to help our families facing challenging times while their child receives medical treatment. Special shout out to Natalie + Shauna for playing for the House.
