We'd like to take a moment to highlight Cortney Hatem and her involvement with the Habitat for Humanity International on their Hard Hats & High Heels event. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami is an ecumenical ministry that transforms lives and communities by providing low-income families with affordable home ownership opportunities. All of the proceeds from the evening of networking went to help build an affordable home for one of the single mothers in their program. They raised over $200,000.00!!!!!! Amazing job to everyone on the committee!!! Thank you for the opportunity for allowing us to participate. Can't wait 'til next years' event!!

This past Monday and Tuesday I was fortunate enough to have joined the Avionica team at the AEEC - AMC conference in Phoenix. The event was filled with excellent networking opportunities, industry insight sessions, and phenomenal food (namely the Avionica "caja china.") The Airlines Electronic Engineering Committee (AEEC) General Session and Aviation Maintenance Conference (AMC) join together in one location to bring together industry experts from around the world. The AEEC General Session and AMC provide opportunities to explore common issues and advancements in the industry through discussion and technical symposiums, and direct focus on the advancement of technical standards and committee and working group activities under the auspices of the AEEC and AMC. This past Monday, RTD Talent Solutions was fortunate enough to sponsor the Belen Jesuit Preparatory School Fr. Izquierdo Golf tournament as a Silver Sponsor. The Fr. Izquierdo Memorial Golf Tournament is held each year in memory of the beloved Fr. Izquierdo. Father Jose Maria Izquierdo, S.J. was a respected teacher, administrator, spiritual counselor, and priest at Belen Jesuit. He dedicated nearly three decades of his life to Belen in Miami and El Colegio de Belén in Cuba. In May 1982, he received the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa for his contribution to the formation of so many graduates of Belen who were distinguished students at the University of Georgetown and other universities. Fr. Izquierdo, S.J. died on May 22, 1997. He was posthumously inducted into the Belen Hall of Fame in 2022. The 25th Annual Father Izquierdo Golf Tournament was held on May 20, 2024, at La Gorce Country Club in Miami Beach. Thank you to the committee and Belen alumni members who helped coordinate this event. Special thanks to Carlos Bravo and Rebeca Lowell.
