Collins Aerospace recently partnered with the US Army’s 1st Multi-Domain Task Force to test how fixed site operations in austere environments could transition into mobile command and control capability. “Making the transition from fixed site to mobile operations must be seamless for the operators,” said Elaine Felicita Bitonti, vice president and general manager for Collins’ Connected Battlespace and Emerging Capabilities. “This requires testing, iterating and refining that capability at the operational edge – ensuring combatants can operate in all conditions.” Learn more: https://rtxcorp.co/3XuvpPj

Between a busy Farnborough International Airshow, 950 Pratt & Whitney GTF engine orders and commitments, and Run to Home Base, let's look back on the latest news. 📰

In Raytheon’s 49,000 square-foot Space Systems Operations facility in Tucson, Arizona, our team of technicians, engineers and operators develop, test and assemble parts for highly precise defensive weapons known as “kill vehicles” that track and defeat ballistic missiles in the vacuum of space – an environment the site was designed specifically to recreate. “We have 25 years of iterative experience and data from 50 successful space intercepts,” said Justin Jenia, vice president of Strike Initiatives at Raytheon. “What we learned, what we saw in these increasingly complex test scenarios has led to significant efficiencies and process improvements in our factory assembly and environmental controls.” To learn more about these capabilities visit our booth 301 at #SMDSymposium or visit: https://rtxcorp.co/3WS1Bvk

Team RTX came out in full force with 300+ employees and their friends and family, participating in Run to Home Base, virtually and in person, to show their appreciation and support for veterans, service members, military families and families of the fallen. The event raised $3.3 million for Home Base, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing world-class, direct clinical care, wellness, education and research to veterans struggling with invisible wounds. RTX’s BBN Technologies successfully demonstrated its DISPERSED middleware technology in the Valiant Shield warm start exercise under the banner of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Rapidly Distributed Air Operations Center program. Valiant Shield proved DISPERSED can reduce overhead and latency for Continuity of Operations and is a key enabler for Agile Combat Employment —the ability to continue mission operations in dynamic contested environments.
